Mike “The Situation’s” trip to Rehab was it a publicity stunt?

Apparently Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” has checked himself out of Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah after just two weeks.  He was being treated for prescription drug and alcohol abuse.  The “situation” is this if Mike has recovered in two week he is truly a miracle.  Addiction recovery requires a life long commitment ,not a two week stunt in a high profile rehab center to ensure he gets maximum publicity. … Read the rest

Hollywood SignJanelle Evans star of Teen Mom 2 is alleged to be hiding a drug habit or so it says in this article from Hollywoodlife.com.  The 20 year old has already been to Rehab and is on probation.  Why on earth is anybody buying into this and reporting on it as news.  I think a show about teen moms is worth doing if it done right and sends a clear message that being a teen mother is a very bad idea.… Read the rest

The seeds which form the basis for many opiate derived drugs is more widely spread than initially thought.  Poppy seeds, the specific kind used for heroin, opium, and other drugs, are in numerous gardens all over the United States.  The specific genus is the scarlet poppy, its Latin nOpium In Fieldame Papaver somniferum.

I often hear people talk about the morning and evening prayer being the 10th step. For a time I also thought that. Its all over the news, its all over the web, Bobbi Brown ex husband of Whitney Houston and father of her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has been arrested for DUI.  You only have to do a Google search to see how many news outlets are carrying the story.

The media are all over this one but who is helping Bobbi Kristina Brown, she has lost her mother to drugs, her father is an addict possibly an alcoholic her grandmother Cissy Houston is up in arms about her dating her “adopted” brother.Read the rest

Misleading Advertising of Alcohol

Anyone who has worked in a bar knows the pattern – group comes in to bar all happy and joking, a few drinks later they leave the worse for wear and usually miserable.If advertising reflected this reality instead of the amp’ed social circles shown at the top perhaps people would drink less.
