Counseling Center James K Marsh House

The Marsh House is a quality program of The Counseling Center. Caring, professional staff provide individual, group and family counseling, case management and 24-hour supervision. The Marsh House treatment team and residential staff can communicate with and relate to clients as fellow recovering people. Our recovery messages, experiences and services promote dignity and hope in Marsh House men. We share with them what we know about alcoholism, addiction and recovery.

Length of Stay: Every person’s treatment needs are unique so the length of stay varies. Generally, the longer the stay, the better the outcome. A 90 day treatment is recommended. Extended treatment is offered when appropriate. Residents who complete the Marsh House program will often be eligible for a variety of post-residential services and programs including but not limited to: transitional living, cutting-edge vocational programming and individual and group outpatient treatment. Clients who participate in these programs will have a strong desire for recovery, employment and self-sufficiency.

During your stay you will receive:

• Equine Assisted Therapy in farm setting
• Opportunity for improved physical fitness at the Shawnee State University Athletic Center or the Pike County YMCA
• Extensive case management services
• Recreational activities and physical wellness programming
• An introduction to 12 step philosophy and integration into community based 12-step support groups
