This treatment center isn’t recommended for any minorities because the population is mostly caucasian, for instance in the past 2 months of my stay there has been 4 minorities that houses 20 men. In addition, racism is allowed by the Staff and although they have addressed it in open forums with all residents during mandatory house meetings it still is occurring and when brought to the attention of the Director, David Moore, and the Executive Director, Alfred Blake, they state they are working to hire a professional trainer to come in and provide ethnic diversity sensitivity classes to address the ongoing racial slurs being used by a major portion of the residential treatment center’s population to encourage the residents to work together in today’s cultural diversity within American society this hasn’t occurred. So, if I were Indian, African-American, Puerto-Rican, Asian, or any mix-raced individual it would be recommended that you seek Drug/Alcohol treatment elsewhere where there’s a more diverse population.
