If I had a relative that became a client of this facility I would panic if I saw and heard the things that I personally witnessed while I was there. For example, there was a client there who was in a six month treatment program. His addiction counselor had a Doctorate degree in counseling, and he told this client to put “dog shit” in his pocket and carry it around. Then the counselor said, “Tell me to fuck off, that you’re not going to carry the dog shit.”
The client replied with a horrified look and said, “Fuck you, I won’t carry the dog shit?”
On the same day one of the counselors co workers was telling the him and other co workers, “fuck you”, I believe this is what they call sarcasm. This is my personal view on it, I may not be as educated as these counselors but in the amount of education I have, every class I have taken has taught me all about ethics throughout the class. I feel it is extremely important to let you know that if you are thinking about becoming a client, making a loved one a client, or even working there, DON”T DO IT! It will be one of the worst experiences of your life. I’m not perfect but I do know this, and I feel very strongly that no matter who you are this is unethical behavior and demeaning to your loved ones and yourself. So please, stay away from this facility for your own good, and the good of your loved ones.

This is a response is for the above comment. ARA is a great place it saved my life. The staff is great at what they do. Their was a reason behind why the staff was having them do that. You should know the facts before you say that you have no idea on why they do what they do. You only hear one sided reasoning or lact of .
