Bill Wilson is known worldwide as the founder of AA (Alcoholics anonymous).  AA has saved countless millions of lives with it spiritual program of recovery open to all with a only a desire to stay sober but little else when they come to AA on their knees.  Less is know about his wife Lois Wilson the founder of Al-Anon the support group for families of alcoholics.  The devastation caused by the alcoholic touches many many lives and leaves family members broken and wounded.  Al-Anon  offers strength and hope to these helpless victims of this brutal disease.

The Story of Lois Wilson is told in this made for TV movie with Wynona Ryder.  This remarkable woman stood by Bill throughout his alcoholism and then created Al-Anon for the families like her.  Excellent movie.  You can see a trailer here.
