San Francisco drug rehab programs are some of the most diverse in California. While there are many centers that offer substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment for the general population, many treatment programs are available that target specific populations. Some of these include adolescents, men, women, senior citizens, gays and lesbians, pregnant and postpartum women, and programs for persons with HIV/AIDS. There are programs for criminal justice patients, veterans, and various ethnic groups. Hearing impaired patients can find programs that offer treatment in ASL and many programs have treatment for Spanish speaking patients. Short-term treatment (less than 30 days) and long-term drug rehab (more than 30 days) can be easily found in San Francisco and individuals can choose outpatient or residential programs. There are also centers that specialize in detox or in treating specific drugs, such as meth addiction.
